If you are curious and
have already tried to open your broken piece of electronic equipment only
to find these little tiny star shaped screws then your in need of a Torx
screwdriver. That's what those tiny screws are and they were created to
make things easier and more cost effective during manufacturing.
The design allows for the screw to be tightened to the correct torque
every time without damaging the tool, screw or part. This might help in
manufacturing but it does not help you or me. The Torx T6 is hard to find
and most stores do not carry these little specialty tools, you will most
likely have to look elsewhere. If you look online which you obliviously
are doing now then you know that the selection of Torx T6 available online
is quite large. Chances are you will need it again in the future because
almost every piece of electronic equipment uses these screws. Make sure
you get one with a good warranty and a nice rubber molded handle with
a steel reinforced tip.
